Members

The Cincinnati Cancer Consortium would cease to exist without the participating members encouraging and supporting one another in the fight against cancer. Participating members will receive free access to support and resource recommendations designed to help organizations large & small produce events, market themselves and better connect with patients and providers.

Brandon C. Gromada Head & Neck Cancer Foundation

The Brandon C. Gromada Head & Neck Cancer Foundation was launched June 3, 2012 by Dr. Joseph & Karen Gromada, the day after their oldest son Brandon died of an aggressive “poorly differentiated squamous cell cancer” (SCC).

The goal of the Foundation is to generate research funds for the development of innovative and more effective treatments, which lead to cures for head and neck cancers - most of which are some type of squamous cell carcinoma.

Cancer Family Care

Cancer Family Care is a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis in the family. We are known throughout the Greater Cincinnati region as a force of compassion and strength in the face of cancer-related illness and loss.

Cancer Free Kids

CancerFree KIDS aims to find more effective and gentler treatments for childhood cancer by funding innovative research projects in the early stages of development. New ideas need money to grow, yet potential breakthrough treatment methods often go unfunded because pediatric cancer research is drastically limited. CancerFree KIDS provides grants to high-risk/high-reward childhood cancer research projects in these crucial early stages, which allows researchers to prove their concept, secure additional funding, and eventually create new treatments for kids.

Cancer Support Community

CSC uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care.

For over 30 years, CSC has been enhancing the lives of people in the local community offering free support and services to improve the quality of life and survivorship.

We’re not just an organization; we’re a community that understands the journey.

COMMUNITY IS STRONGER THAN CANCER.

The Cure Starts Now

The Cure Starts Now represents something truly different – a grassroots effort dedicated to, not just fighting one cancer, but the elimination of ALL cancers. We believe as the experts do; that in order to truly cure cancer you have to focus on:

  • those cancers that are immune to treatment

  • those cancers that also affect children

  • and those cancers that are the biggest bullies with the highest death rate

Karen Wellington Foundation

Our mission is simple. We put FUN on the calendars of women and families LIVING with breast cancer by sending them on special vacations, relaxing spa days, concerts and other FUN-ONLY activities. Since 2007 our recipients have traded in chemo chairs and canceled plans for sunrise hikes and hot air balloon rides. Whether they are enjoying a relaxing spa day with friends or skydiving in their hometown, over 1,000 recipients have said "YES" to KWF. And we're just getting started!
